Represent responsibly

Members are expected to consult students, attend meetings, communicate professionally and represent their school and wider student body fairly.

Protect sensitive information

Confidential, safeguarding-related and unapproved information should not be disclosed through public or unofficial channels.

Document decisions

Projects, approvals, reports, financial commitments and handover records should be maintained to support continuity and accountability.

Approval routes

Know when to escalate.

Routine committee planning stays within committee workflow. Council-wide initiatives, public statements, fundraising, expenditure and external partnerships move through Executive and authorised approval channels. Safeguarding and serious welfare concerns are escalated promptly to responsible adults rather than investigated independently by students.
